Webinar Wednesday May 3: Update on TRALI pathogenesis by Rick Kapur
On Wednesday May 3, at 3pm CET, Rick Kapur will give a webinar about TRALI pathogenesis.
Rick Kapur obtained his PhD in 2014 whilst working at Sanquin Amsterdam on diseases of antibody-mediated blood cell destruction via Fcγ receptors on phagocytes. He then moved to Toronto where he continued as a postdoctoral fellow at the St. Michael's Hospital (Canadian Blood Services) studying Transfusion-Related Acute Lung Injury (TRALI), which is triggered by blood transfusions and is a leading cause of transfusion-related mortality. Rick currently works in Lund, Sweden where he continues his research on TRALI.
