The Speakers
Judith Chapman
Syeldy Langi Sasongko
Syeldy obtained her bachelor’s degree in the United States and worked for a few years in the medical field in multiple roles as a medical scribe for physicians in multiple specialties (e.g. Emergency Medicine, Orthopedics, Neurology, etc) along with being a trainer, traveling instructor, and project manager.
She obtained her Research Master’s in Global Health at Vrije University, Amsterdam in 2017 and began working at Sanquin, the Dutch national blood bank, shortly thereafter. Syeldy is a qualitative and mixed-methods researcher completing her PhD at Sanquin studying how blood banks change during times of uncertainty. Syeldy is a member of the EBA plasma working group, participates in BEST Collaborative projects, and contributes voice-overs for the ISBT’s Clinical Transfusion working party e-learning curriculum. She is passionate about connecting people and cultures.
